Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information mytoppick.com (“My Top Pick”, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the landing pages we publish on this domain.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. If you fill in a form or email us, we receive what you send — typically your name, email address, and the contents of your message. Some landing pages on this site include a form that submits your details to the advertiser or partner named on that page.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we log technical data when you visit: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. We also record clicks on outbound advertising links so we can attribute traffic and measure campaign performance.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information. Please do not send us health records, financial account details or government identification through this site.
2. Cookies, pixels and similar technologies
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies to operate the site, remember which advertising campaign brought you here, measure conversions, and limit how often you see the same ad.
- Essential: needed for pages to load and forms to work.
- Measurement: counts visits, clicks and conversions so we can tell which content is useful.
- Advertising: third-party advertising technologies — which may include the Meta (Facebook) pixel, Google advertising tags, and affiliate network tracking — may set identifiers to attribute conversions and to help advertisers reach relevant audiences.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may break parts of the site. Most browsers also support a “Do Not Track” signal; there is no industry-agreed standard for responding to it, and we do not currently respond to it.
3. How we use information
- To deliver, secure and troubleshoot the website.
- To measure which articles, ads and landing pages perform, and to improve them.
- To attribute conversions to the advertising campaign that produced them, so we and our partners are paid correctly.
- To respond to your questions, corrections and requests.
- To detect fraud, abuse and automated traffic, and to comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information in these situations:
- Advertisers and partners. If you submit a form on a landing page, the details you enter are transmitted to the advertiser or partner identified on that page, and their privacy policy then governs how they use it.
- Service providers. Hosting, content delivery, analytics, click-tracking and email providers process data on our behalf.
- Advertising platforms. We may share hashed or pseudonymous identifiers and conversion events with advertising platforms to measure and optimize campaigns.
- Legal and safety. Where required by law, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
Note that under some state privacy laws, sharing identifiers with advertising platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising is treated as a “sale” or “sharing” even when no money changes hands. You may opt out using the contact details in section 6.
5. Retention
We keep server logs and click records for as long as we need them for measurement, fraud prevention and accounting, and then delete or aggregate them. Messages you send us are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and to keep a record of it.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of your information, and to not be treated differently for exercising those rights. Residents of the EEA and UK may also have rights to object to or restrict processing and to data portability.
To make a request, email [email protected] with the request and the email address or page involved. We may need to ask for additional detail to verify your request.
You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
7. Children
This site is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Third-party sites
Advertising and affiliate links on this site take you to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of those websites. Read their policies before providing information or making a purchase.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date above. Questions, requests or complaints: [email protected].
